We've answered some of the most common questions we're asked from learners about our fully funded courses and the eligibility to join.
Fully funded training means the course is paid for using Government or public funding (e.g., Adult Education Budget or local authority funding), so learners don't pay tuition fees if they meet the eligibility criteria.
Eligibility varies by course, but most Pre-Employment and funded programmes require learners to be:
Aged 19+ (for many pre-employment courses)
Unemployed or seeking work
Eligible to work in the UK
Able to demonstrate a good standard of Maths & English and communication skills
Some digital or distance learning courses may have additional criteria (e.g., lived in EU for 3+ years).
Most funded programmes are for adults aged 19 and over.
Some online/distance learning programmes may require you to have lived in the EU/UK for a set number of years.
Yes — some courses are designed to support people already in work to upskill or progress their career. This can include skills bootcamps, apprenticeships and more.
Absolutely — many of the fully funded pre-employment training programmes are specifically for unemployed applicants meeting the criteria.
For most of our funded distance learning courses, you cannot be enrolled on another Government-funded course at the same time.
