This course is designed for existing gas engineers, rather than people who are new to the gas industry.

• To enrol, you must already hold a core Natural Gas ACS qualification.

The course enables you to work on LPG appliances in permanent dwellings, but only on appliances for which you already hold the relevant Natural Gas ACS qualification.

For example, if you already hold the appropriate Natural Gas ACS qualification for a particular appliance category, the LPG changeover training can allow you to extend your competence to the corresponding LPG appliance work.

Successful completion allows you to work on LPG appliances in permanent dwellings, subject to the scope of your existing Natural Gas ACS qualifications.

This means the course can help you expand the range of domestic gas work you are able to undertake.

However, the scope of the course is important.

This course covers:

LPG appliances in permanent dwellings, within the scope of your existing corresponding Natural Gas ACS qualification.

Additional qualifications are required for:

• Caravans
• Boats
• Residential park homes
• Other LPG applications outside permanent dwellings
