Position Overview:

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing Leep Talent's commercial sales function across both B2C and B2B markets, driving revenue growth through the sale of professional development, courses including Microsoft and CIPD qualifications.

The role is responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy, building high-performing sales teams, establishing effective sales processes and ensuring consistent achievement of revenue and KPIs. This includes leading the B2C team with inbound call activity and supporting the B2B team with outbound sales activity, identifying new marketing initiatives and continuously improving the customer journey from initial enquiry through to enrolment.

Working closely with Marketing, Scheduling & Delivery and senior stakeholders, the Sales Manager will focus on constant review and improvement of materials, develop campaigns, maximise lead generation, strengthen employer partnerships and ensure Leep Talent delivers an outstanding customer experience while achieving ambitious KPIs. Taking ownership of the marketing budget and spend plans aligned to our ever growing geographical and programme spread.

The Sales Manager will recruit and develop the sales team, creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and commercial success.

The role also takes ownership of forecasting, pipeline management, sales reporting, using data and insight to drive strategic decision-making and support the continued growth of the CPD and Short Courses division, leading the team to achieve their KPIs.

Responsibilities

Works as part of Leep Talent’s Leadership team in delivering:

  • Develop and deliver the sales strategy for both B2C and B2B markets, aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead and develop the Sales Team through regular one-to-ones, performance reviews, coaching and personal development plans.
  • Recruit, onboard and train new sales team members, ensuring they have the knowledge, tools and confidence to succeed.
  • Build and embed scalable sales processes and best practice across the sales function.
  • Set, monitor and manage revenue, activity and conversion KPIs for the team.
  • Produce accurate sales forecasting, reporting and pipeline management to support business planning.
  • Monitor sales performance and use data and insight to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the customer journey to improve enquiry conversion, learner experience and retention.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing to develop lead generation strategies, campaign activity and sales collateral that support commercial objectives.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities, markets, partnerships and routes to market that support sustainable revenue growth.
  • Lead B2B team to develop and implement B2B business development strategies, including employer engagement, outbound prospecting and account growth.
  • Represent Leep Talent at networking events, employer meetings, webinars and industry events to promote the business and generate new opportunities.
  • Champion CRM best practice, ensuring accurate pipeline management, reporting and data integrity.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential Skills

  • Has managed a team & set KPIs and worked towards targets
  • Has a proven track record of selling training courses/packages
  • Has a proven track record of working alongside marketing departments and setting up strategies to improve team billing
  • Can show history of growing sales departments

Desirable Skills

  • Adds tangible value to business

  • Leads on initiatives and operates without instruction

  • Creation and update of content

  • Excellent Inter-personal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to deal with lots of different stakeholders

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 p.a.
