Position Overview:

You will be responsible for the delivery of training across our Apprenticeship and Commercial programmes in HR, Learning & Development, Leaderships & Management, and Coaching at levels 3, 4, 5 & 7. The training will predominantly require delivering in a remote environment, however, can involve some classroom face to face sessions from time to time

Within this role you are not just a ‘Trainer’ but a mentor to the learners that you are supporting, as you will also be guiding them to evidence the knowledge and skills through assignments that will showcase what they have learnt whilst on programme.

You will work alongside Senior Trainers, Curriculum, IQA and Service Delivery to assist in the development of training methodologies and materials currently used within the business. You will adapt different ways of working and be able to establish individual learning needs and introduce new ways of working. You should identify best practices and bring individualism and personality to a standardised course.

Responsibilities:

Role Responsibilities

  • Motivate and encourage learning and development in your learners
  • Creating an engaging/interactive learning environment which caters to various learning styles
  • Be able to adapt training to an online learning environment
  • Understand the development and implementation of lesson plans and schemes of work
  • Be able to maintain current and relevant curriculum content through regular reviews of your training slides, including development and maintenance of learning resources
  • Marking of learner assignments and provide constructive and developmental feedback to learners
  • Have knowledge of Ofsted Good requirements in line with the Education Inspection Framework
  • Recording and reporting on activity to management in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicating with the Apprenticeship team/Career Support team on candidates for concern
  • To oversee the development and progress of all learners
  • Actively developing new initiatives and training methodologies to impact candidates learning
  • Developing effective training plans to establish the needs of both learners and employers
  • Ensuring that Leep Talent training is perceived within the market as a high-quality provider of Apprenticeship and Commercial solutions to both candidates and clients alike
  • Ensure best practices and be aware of Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities and related Acts

Candidate Requirements:

  • Highly motivated, persuasive, persistent, and patient
  • Be professional, have a mature personality and be able to gain people's confidence and put them at ease
  • Experience in developing learner progression through a series of learning stages
  • Team player – willing to contribute to the business unit and not solely focused on their own personal goals
  • This role is heavily focussed on training, assessment, reporting and development. The ability to provide effective feedback is essential
  • Excellent communicator

  • Have good administrative skills, be flexible, adaptable and be able to cope under pressure

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

Teaching Qualifications

  • PGCE / CertEd / QTS or Level 4 Teaching Qualification / Level 3 Teaching Qualification
  • Level 3 Assessor Qualification

Or working towards in the first 6 months

Maths & English

  • English Level 2 or above (Includes GCSE A*-C, GCSE 9-4, F/S Level 2/ Key Skills L2 or 3)
  • Maths Level 2 or above (Includes GCSE A*-C, GCSE 9-4, F/S Level 2/ Key Skills L2 or 3)

Technical Competency

    • Degree or higher
    • 2 years industry experience and appropriate qualifications

Or:

    • Level above what level they will be teaching in the relevant subject area
    • Additional technical certificates to show competence of job role

As well as:

    • Teaching experience in EITHER a Management, Human Resource Management, Learning and Development, Training, Education or Coaching area
    • A qualification in the subject taught

Desirable:

    • Experience in delivery of CIPD qualifications
    • Understanding of Apprenticeships
