Position Overview:
You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and converting both inbound (B2C) and outbound (B2B) leads into revenue. You will build strong relationships with prospective learners and business clients, guiding them through Leep Talent's sales process and helping them identify the most suitable digital and professional development programmes, including our Microsoft and CIPD courses.
You will manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry or prospecting activity through to enrolment, ensuring an excellent customer experience throughout. You will use consultative sales skills to discuss and sell the range of digital, professional development and CIPD courses we offer, handling objections, negotiating, collecting payment and supporting them onto the programme. Post sale, you will maintain relationships with learners and accounts, identifying opportunities for up and cross sells.
You will engage with prospective learners, employers and referral partners through a variety of channels including telephone, email, LinkedIn, virtual meetings and face-to-face meetings where appropriate, also supporting the Candidate Engagement Manager with marketing leads and actively supporting the team with retaining candidates until they successfully complete the programme.
Lead Driven – You will relationship manage and convert leads into programme starts.
Resource Driven – You will develop and maintain effective partnerships with referral and engagement organisations to increase candidate uptake, additionally you will proactively search and screen candidates across other departments in the business.
This is a target-driven sales role suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities and delivering commercial results while providing an outstanding customer experience and achieving KPIs.
Responsibilities

Role Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed agreed monthly revenue, activity and conversion KPIs, including calls, meetings, and placing candidates on programme
- Confidently manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation through to enrolment, selling Leep Talent’s range of product and services and identifying appropriate upsell and cross sell opportunities.
- Proactively generate new business opportunities through activity including telephone, email, LinkedIn and networking.
- Deliver consultative sales conversations by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable learning solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective learners, employers and key stakeholders.
- Respond promptly to enquiries and convert them into programme starts.
- Identify and develop new employer partnerships and referral opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to maximise commercial opportunities and deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring sufficient opportunities are generated to achieve monthly revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, ensuring all sales activity, opportunities, pipeline stages and forecasts are updated in a timely manner.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting and pipeline updates to the Candidate Engagement Manager.
- Work collaboratively with Marketing to maximise lead generation campaigns and improve lead conversion.
- Conduct learner service calls where appropriate to improve engagement, retention and identify further opportunities.
- Attend client meetings, networking events and webinars where appropriate.
- Ensure all compliance, safeguarding and quality processes are followed.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential Skills
- Excellent inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven success in a target-driven sales, business development or account management role within a B2B, B2C or mixed sales environment, ideally selling educational courses
- Ability to identify customer needs and provide consultative solutions
- Commercially astute and able to confidently handle objections and negotiations.
- Proven experience of working to deadlines, KPI’s and processes with effective prioritisation skills
- Experience with CRMs such as Hubspot
- Ability to deal with a diverse range of candidates in a professional manner
- Approachable, confident, motivational and solutions orientated
- Shows continuous drive & determination to succeed
- Ability to influence others for benefit of the business
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with work-based learning/education/private education
General Skills
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Highly motivated, personable and able to adapt to differing situations
- A team player with an adaptable approach to work
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to generate pipeline, convert opportunities into revenue and consistently achieve or exceed individual and team sales KPIs.
