Leadership & Line Management:
As Head of Curriculum, you will build and lead a high-performing curriculum function that combines creativity, rigour, and accountability. You will provide clear leadership to Curriculum Product Managers through structured performance management, coaching, and development, ensuring individuals feel supported, challenged, and empowered to do their best work.
You will set strategic priorities, manage capacity and resourcing, and lead curriculum road-mapping to ensure development activity is aligned with organisational goals and delivery timelines. From recruitment and induction to ongoing professional development, you will shape a strong, resilient team culture that values quality, innovation, and collaboration.
Strategic Curriculum Leadership:
You will own the overarching curriculum strategy across Bootcamps, Apprenticeships, and Commercial training, translating organisational ambition into coherent, high-impact learning programmes. Working closely with the Service Delivery Director and business development teams, you will support bids, tenders, and employer partnerships by ensuring curriculum solutions are technically robust, commercially viable, and clearly articulated.
As the senior curriculum authority, you will oversee the consistent application of best practice in curriculum design, sequencing, assessment, and accessibility. You will lead the end-to-end ADDIE cycle across all provision, analysing labour market and employer need, designing structured and engaging programmes, developing high-quality learning and assessment materials, supporting effective implementation across delivery teams, and evaluating impact using data, feedback, and inspection frameworks.
Curriculum Quality, Compliance & Evaluation:
Quality sits at the core of this role. You will ensure all curriculum aligns with Ofsted expectations, awarding body specifications, ESFA funding rules, and industry standards. Through structured quality reviews, you will oversee accuracy, accessibility, technical validity, and assessment integrity across all programmes.
You will work closely with IQA and Quality teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement—using learner feedback, delivery insight, performance data, and inspection outcomes to refine and strengthen provision. You will also ensure curriculum remains current and responsive, adapting swiftly to changes in regulation, technology, and employer demand.
You will maintain oversight of the systems and platforms that underpin delivery, ensuring all learning materials meet Leep Talent’s standards across classroom software, labs, LMS platforms, SCORM, Moodle, Nearpod, and any future technologies introduced.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaboration is central to success in this role. You will build strong, trusted relationships across the organisation, working closely with delivery leaders, trainers, coaches, IQA, sales and marketing teams. You will also engage confidently with employer partners, awarding bodies, and external stakeholders, representing Leep Talent as a credible, authoritative voice in curriculum and skills development.
You will support employer engagement activity by clearly articulating the value, structure, and outcomes of our curriculum, helping to position our offer as high-quality, relevant, and future-focused.
Personal Development:
You will remain actively engaged in your own professional development, keeping abreast of changes in the FE and skills landscape, inspection frameworks, digital transformation, and emerging best practice in curriculum design. Through networks, communities of practice, and sector engagement, you will ensure Leep Talent remain at the forefront of curriculum innovation.
Candidate Requirements:
We are seeking an experienced curriculum leader with a strong background in FE, apprenticeships, training, or commercial learning. You will bring proven experience of leading curriculum development at scale, managing teams, and delivering high-quality programmes under regulatory scrutiny. Involvement in an Ofsted inspection is essential, as is a recognised teaching qualification (minimum Level 3).
You will be highly organised, analytical, and solutions-focused, with excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence at all levels. A strong commitment to Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, safeguarding, and accessible curriculum design is fundamental to this role. GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) are required. Degree-level study or equivalent industry expertise, and experience in digital or AI-led programmes, is desirable.
