This fully funded Level 3 London Underground Skills Bootcamp is delivered by Morson Training on behalf of Back to Work. It’s designed to provide local residents in Greater London with the skills and knowledge to start working and earning on major rail projects.

Is this programme right for me?

This bootcamp is ideal if you meet the below eligibility criteria:

  • Aged 19+
  • UK resident for 3+ years
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Must be a London resident
  • Not currently in full-time education

Course content

The Skilled Platelayer Skills Bootcamp is fully funded for local residents in Greater London.

The course runs for 13 days (over 3 weeks) full-time (Monday – Friday) and is based at Canning Town Business Park on Stephenson Street, London E16 4SA.

All PPE will be provided, and the course will prepare individuals with the skills, knowledge and certification to become a New Entrant Skilled Platelayer.

The course covers the following:

  • Medical and Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • Personal Track Safety Certificate (PTS AC)
  • DCCR (3rd Rail)
  • Manual Handling
  • First Aid At Work
  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Worksite Safety Induction (Entry Permit)
  • Basic Track Awareness
  • Track Trolley Training
  • Fire Watch
