It is designed to provide local residents in the North East with the skills and knowledge to future-proof their career and upskill in the latest renewable heating technologies.

Is this programme right for me?

This bootcamp is ideal if you meet the below eligibility criteria:

  • Aged 19+
  • UK resident for 3+ years
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing, Gas or Heating

Course content

The Green Energy Skills Bootcamp is fully funded for both unemployed and self-employed local residents in the North East.

The course runs for 9 days full-time (Monday - Friday) and is based at Castle Close Industrial Estate in Crook, County Durham DL15 8LU.

The skills bootcamp covers the following:

  • Water Regulations
  • Unvented Hot Water
  • Energy Efficiency (Part L)
  • Heat Pumps
  • Solar Thermal Hot Water
  • Underfloor Heating
