You don’t need to be a plumber or have any previous trade qualifications to enrol. We simply recommend that you have a reasonable level of Maths and English to join the course.

Before you start, you’ll complete a suitability assessment to ensure you’re a good fit for the course. You’ll also need to be legally eligible to work in the UK and, ideally, have a full UK driving licence.

The programme lasts approximately 220 days in total, combining centre-based training, work placement, and final assessments. While timescales can vary, most new entrants can complete the training in around 7-8 months when studying full-time.

The course costs £4,995 (or £5,994 including VAT and fees).

You also have the option to make a 20% deposit (£1,498.50), where you can then pay the remaining balance in monthly instalments during the training weeks, which is interest-free.

Once you’ve completed your training, passed your ACS assessments, and joined the Gas Safe Register, you’ll be qualified to work as a Domestic Gas Engineer.

This means you can:

• Install, service and repair gas appliances in homes
• Work for heating companies, energy providers, or housing contractors
• Or even start your own business once you’ve built experience
